Staffhub - Clock in / Out is now available

Staffhub - Clock in / Out

StaffHub have finally released the clock in/out feature together with a bunch of other features. The clocking feature is personally one I have been waiting for. Because it for some organizations is a way easier way to report time.
Project Online time sheets or similar SAP time sheets work very well for departments where the workforce works on many different projects at a time. Ex. IT, R&D, etc.
However, for organizations where the workforce mainly work on one project/job at a time and people are paid by the hour StaffHub is in my opinion a better choice.

The clocking function is very simple, fist create a schedule like the following.

If not already enabled, go to settings and enable Clocking.
Note: You can also limit your employees to only allow them to start their clock when they are at the workplace. Simply type in the address where of the workplace.

Next have your employees go to their smart device (iPhone, Android or tablet) and start the Staffhub app.

They will now be able to see the shifts that you assigned to them.
The clocking feature is simply enabled from the "Timewatch" button ("Tidsur", sorry my image is in Danish).

From this page the employee simply click and hold to start his or hers shift.
When the shift is over, the employee simply stops the time from the same page.

The employee also have an overview of how much time was spend on a single shift.
The manager can then get a nice overview of all shifts and time spend by exporting the time to Excel.
In the future I would expect the time spend to also be visible within Staffhub. But haven't found that function yet.

Azure DevOps - Gantt Chart

It's been a while since my last post - in the past couple of weeks I have played around with some videos of topics I find interesting. One of these topics are a very cool way of displaying a Gantt Chart upon your Azure DevOps board's. Check it out here!

Project Server - Change field name on PDP for standard fields (like the Owner field)

Project Server - Change owner field name on PDP The field names on the PDPs (Project Detail Pages) has been preselected on the standard fields for a project. If you want to change the Owner to something else it is quite difficult. In the following i will explain how we can change this field through the Content Editor webpart. To change the owner field add a Content Editor webpart to the PDP page where the field is inserted. Select the webpart and from the ribbon select HTML->Edit HTML Source. Copy/Paste the following code into the Content Editor webpart. < script type ="text/javascript">     var old_name = "Owner" ;     var new_name = "Ansvarlig" ;     var ttnA = document.getElementsByTagName( "div" );     for ( var j = 0; j < ttnA.length; j++) {         var orig = ttnA[j].innerHTML;         var stripped = orig.replace( /^\s*/ , "" ).replace( /\s*$/ , &quo
